Customs Policy for Worldwide Shipping

1. Introduction

This Customs Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for Technivision FZE - UAE in shipping products to customers worldwide. It ensures compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and the specific requirements of destination countries.

This policy applies to all departments involved in the shipment of goods, including but not limited to the Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service teams. The policy covers all products shipped by Technivision FZE to international destinations.

3. Customs Compliance

Technivision FZE is committed to complying with all applicable customs regulations and laws in the UAE and in the destination countries. The company will:

  • Ensure accurate classification of products under the Harmonized System (HS) codes.
  • Accurately declare the value of goods based on the commercial invoice.
  • Provide complete and accurate documentation, including packing lists, certificates of origin, and any other required documents.

4. Shipping Documentation

The following documents are required for all international shipments:

  • Commercial Invoice: Must include the description of goods, HS code, quantity, unit price, total value, currency, and incoterms.
  • Packing List: Should detail the contents of the shipment, including the weight, dimensions, and packaging type.
  • Certificate of Origin: Required for certain destinations to verify the origin of goods.
  • Bill of Lading/Airway Bill: Issued by the shipping carrier, detailing the transport route and method.
  • Export License: If required, based on the nature of the goods.

5. Duties and Taxes

Responsibility: The customer is responsible for paying all applicable duties, taxes, and customs fees in the destination country unless otherwise agreed upon in the contract (e.g., DDP - Delivered Duty Paid).

Estimation: Technivision FZE will provide customers with an estimate of these costs whenever possible, but the actual amount may vary depending on local customs assessments.

6. Prohibited and Restricted Items

Technivision FZE will not ship items that are prohibited or restricted by the UAE or destination country’s customs laws. It is the responsibility of the Logistics team to ensure compliance with these restrictions.

7. Packaging and Labeling

Packaging: All shipments must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. Special care must be taken for fragile items.

Labeling: Packages must be clearly labeled with the recipient's address, a return address, and any necessary handling instructions.

8. Customs Brokerage

Technivision FZE may employ the services of a licensed customs broker to facilitate the clearance process. The broker will ensure that all documentation is in order and that the shipment complies with local regulations.

9. Shipping Methods

Technivision FZE offers the following shipping methods:

  • Air Freight: For urgent or high-value shipments.

b. Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all shipping documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates to customers.

c. Documentation Specialist

Role: Prepares and verifies all shipping and customs documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Create commercial invoices, packing lists, and other necessary documents.
  • Ensure documentation is compliant with customs requirements.

d. Sales and Customer Service Team
